From Boredom to Boarding Passes: Krishna Henry’s Creator Journey

For Krishna Henry, better known online as Soul Peachy, becoming a content creator wasn’t part of a carefully mapped-out plan. It started during the COVID-19 pandemic with something much simpler: boredom.
While working from home, the Saint Lucian creator began experimenting with content as a way to fill the time. What started casually has since grown into a platform built around the things she genuinely enjoys—food, nature, travel, new experiences and life in Saint Lucia.
That sense of spontaneity remains central to the content she creates today. When asked what she believes makes her content stand out, Krishna pointed to the way she presents herself and her experiences:
“My authenticity is what makes me different. I try to be as in the moment and as natural as possible.”
For Krishna, that means allowing experiences to feel like experiences rather than productions. Whether she is discovering somewhere new, trying food or sharing another side of Saint Lucia, her personality remains at the center of the content.
One of Krishna’s most meaningful moments as a creator came when she was flown to Antigua by the country’s tourism board to experience its food festival. Reflecting on the opportunity, Krishna said:
“Never ever thought something like that would happen to me!”
The experience represented more than a trip. It showed her that simply sharing the things she enjoys could create opportunities to experience more of the Caribbean and tell those stories to an audience of her own.
It also reflects a growing opportunity for Caribbean creators. The region’s destinations, food, culture and experiences provide an almost endless canvas for creators who can tell those stories authentically, while allowing audiences to experience the Caribbean through someone who actually calls the region home.
Krishna also finds inspiration within the Caribbean creator community itself. When FAMA asked which creator she admires, she named Jodie, known online as @jodiecontentqueen, a creator from Dominica whose content celebrates Caribbean experiences and culture.
Her choice is fitting. Both creators are building from within the region and using their platforms to showcase the experiences, places and culture around them. It’s another example of Caribbean creators not only reaching audiences, but inspiring one another along the way.
What Comes Next
Despite the opportunities content creation has already brought her, Krishna isn’t measuring what comes next solely in followers, partnerships, or trips. Her biggest goal, however, is personal: continuing to become a better version of herself while growing her audience and sharing more about what it is actually like living in Saint Lucia.
That leaves Soul Peachy with plenty more to explore. There are more places to visit, more food to try, more experiences to have and, importantly, more of Saint Lucia to share.
What began as a way to escape boredom has become a platform that can take Krishna to places she never expected.
Sometimes the next boarding pass begins with simply deciding to create.
